My name is Joseph Bartz and I am proud to be the principal of Rosepine Jr & Sr High. Rosepine is a high performing school as evidenced by our School Performance Score (SPS) of 121.6 for the 2016-2017 school year which earned us the Top Performing school in all of Vernon Parish. We are also among an elite group of school in the nation to have been named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2014.

My vision for Rosepine High is for our students to become productive citizens with the skills necessary to be successful in the workforce or continuing their education. Those skills include: academics, team building, athletics, and extra-curricular to name a few. We have seen great success in each of these areas such as our “A” school performance rating for the past six years, each of our athletic teams making many trips to the state playoffs, our band being named “Best in Class” in several competitions, our clubs and organizations competing successfully each year in state and national competitions, and the lost art of public service by helping to meet the needs of others in and around our community.
